Dementia Pen Pals is an opportunity available to young people aged 8-14. It has been developed to allow young people learn about dementia and how they can support people living with dementia, in a safe and risk-free environment.

This scheme has been running since late 2020 and is very popular. Schools and other youth groups are able to join, as well as individuals, so please get in touch. There are so many older people living with dementia who would really benefit from a pen pal letter from you, and you might learn quite a few things too!

Dementia Picture Pals has a similar element to our Pen Pals project.

We are working with childrens nurseries creating various crafts and pictures to send to local care homes.

In return the residents send letters back to the children which they absoloutly love being read to them.
